Same design as the Super Record chainsets of 2011, but with higher chainring options (42/55 and 42/54). This chainset comes with a titanium spindle. Lab research has shown that, although the diameter of the TT chainrings is larger, the crankset is as rigid as the crankset with standard chainrings (53/39). This maintains optimal transfer of power from the pedals to the wheel via the chainring and the chain. The X.P.S.S. technology (Extreme Performance Shifting System) allows for consistently accurate and fast shifting, even under load. This is enhanced by the 8 upshifting and 2 downshifting zones of the chainring and the special design of the teeth Shifting to "higher quality"; the new chainrings have 8 pins to lift the chain and 2 to lower it. This whole re-designed system makes shifting from one chainring to the other very fast and efficient. The result: faster and more precise shifting than ever before, a huge step forward compared to the past.
